Mitel Teamwork Android app
The Mitel Android app provides virtual spaces where teams can collaborate, share files, assign tasks and communicate. Mitel Teamwork is available for all contact center subscribers as SaaS.
My Work
I designed the entire visual design for Teamwork on Android and worked closely with the UX and engineering team to implement and customize the experience, provide prototypes and user testing.

Process
My task for this project was to replicate the teamwork iOS application into Android, using material design guidelines with the same familiarity and design simplicity that characterized Mitel products.
UI Research and Discovery
On my initial research, I looked into the iOS version of teamwork and compared usability differences between iOS human interface guidelines and Android Material Design. My idea was to learn how the experience could be impacted once you recreated for Android and if there was any room for improvement.
The most fundamental challenge was to take the Mitel iOS design into the new Google Material Design and keep the experience cohesive. Some users have both devices and they should be able to work on any device they prefer without hurdles or confusion.
Prototype
A series of prototypes and concepts were tested with the UX team on Invision. Having real-time feedback helped me to refine and review colors, usability, and other ideas.
Final Product
Despite the last minute changes at the end, I designed a beautiful product that comprehends Mitel philosophy but also works seamlessly with material design guidelines. It takes the user to a very familiar place but with a totally new interface and a few improvements.
